Portland's world heritage coastline and coast path is outside your door.

Church Ope Cove is an excellent place to visit all year round with clean sea bathing, snorkelling and diving, bird and butterfly watching, rock climbing, walking, dog walking and cycling along the cliff paths, goat, seal and dolphin watching, water sports including sailing, kite surfing and wind surfing at the Olympic Sailing Academy.

The ancient wonder of the Chesil beach, the Jurassic coast, stretches from Portland to West Bay at Bridport market town.

Weymouths shops and sandy beaches are 6 miles away and Dorchester county town is 10 miles away. Both are within easy reach by car or bus.

Come to visit the thatched museum just round the corner and Rufus Castle and St. Andrews church ruins just down the path.

The Studio is situated, as legend would have it, on an ancient ceremonial site with St. Andrews on a line linking all the sacred isles of ancient Britain.

Even with so much to do, the path is always quiet, the beach, 150 steps below the Studio, often empty. Come for retreat, rest and relaxation.
